Florence "Kitty" Harris, 77, of Lawndale, formerly of Scott City, passed away Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022, at Atrium Health in Shelby, North Carolina.
Born Aug. 7, 1945, in Cape Girardeau County, Kitty was the daughter of the late Clarence and Alma Rose Jackson.
Kitty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. She enjoyed watching her favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Sonya (Wade) Stubbs, Jon Harris, Vincent Tod Harris and William Steven Harris; four grandchildren, Christa (Ben) Wilson, Ahren Harris, Scott Harris and Felicia (Jason) Sanders; six great-grandchildren; brother, Joe (Velma) Jackson; and 28 nieces and nephews.
Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Harris; brother, Vincent Jackson; and four sisters, Rosemary Kjer, Jean Martin, Ann Hamilton and Lillian Blattel.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. Rosary will be at 9:30 am at the church.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Scott City.
