Everett Smith

Everett Michael “Mike” Smith of Benton, Missouri died Wednesday, January 8, 2019 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born October 7, 1962 in Rosiclare, Illinois to Everett Wendell and Frances Januska Smith. He married Angela Hammond on March 17, 2017 in Dexter, Missouri.

He was a material handler at Verdesian Life Sciences and attended Morley Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife; Angela; his mother Frances Smith; eight sons, Dustin “Michael” Smith, Robert Smith, Jon Smith, Brock Hensley, Tyler Downs, Kaleb Hensley, Dylan Smith and Eric Smith; two brothers, Brian (Susan) Smith and Eric Smith; a sister, Kathy (Trent) Agin; two sisters-in-law, Mary Light and Eva Mangrum; a brother-in-law, Daniel Carver and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of service on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the Morley Baptist Church in Morley.

Memorial service will be at 4:00 pm on Sunday at the church with Revs. David Thompson and Dennis Lowe officiating.
