Evelyn Ruth Ricketts

Evelyn Ruth Ricketts, daughter of the late Edward Lee Cruce and Marion Heflin Cruce was born on July 27, 1948 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed her life on Monday, May 29, 2023 at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 74 years.

She was of the Pentecostal faith, Certified Nursing Assistant for several years in the Scott County area, and a resident of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  Evelyn enjoyed being outdoors watching Butterfly’s and spending time with family.

On December 14, 1989 she was united in marriage to Ronnie Dale Ricketts in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  Mr. Ricketts preceded her in death on March 11, 2016.

Survivors include two sons, Eric (Gina) Keller of Millersville, Missouri and Jeff (Ruthie Baker) Messemore of Vianna, Illinois; by one daughter, Brandie Wolfenkoehler of Scott City, Missouri; one sister, Deanie Hadley of Cape Girardeau; fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Brian Ashworth and by two brothers.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 until 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.  Funeral services will then be conduct at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.  Interment will follow in the New Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
