Edward "Eddie" David Shackles

Eddie Shackles, 77, of Whitewater, Missouri passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on July 26, 1941 in Chaffee, Missouri to the late John Albert and Virgie Cecelia Griffin Shackles. He married Kathy Audini on May 16, 1987 and she survives of the home.

Eddie retired from the local Carpenters Union #1770 of Cape Girardeau in 2002. He was a member of the Zion Methodist Church in Gordonville, Missouri.

He is survived by three sons, David (Tammy) Shackles of Rockview, Missouri; Scott (Margie) Shackles of Whitewater; Bill (Laura) Moore of New Wells, Missouri; four daughters, Jeannie (Rusty) Underwood of Scott City, Missouri; Connie Brashear of Flower Mounds, Texas; Cindy (Darrin) Berghoff of Gordonville; Kerri Jackman of Jackson, Missouri; a brother, Kenneth (Karen) Shackles of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Also serving are numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, George Shackles; a great-grandson, Christian Shackles; a great-granddaughter Connor Moore; two son-in-laws, Bobby Jackman and Mike Brashear.

Friends may call after 4:00 pm on Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday at the Chapel with Rev. Joel Kidwell  officiating. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
