Edward "Mr.Ed" Dodd

Edward Lee “Mr. Ed” Dodd, Sr., 66 of Scott City, Missouri died Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born June 2, 1953 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to James Riley “J.R,” and Bonnie Jean Finley Dodd. He married Marilyn Jo Mueller on March 8, 1971. She preceded him in death on December 19, 2018.

He was the owner/operator of Mr. Ed’s Trading Post in Cape Girardeau.

He enjoyed bargaining, motorcycle riding, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, collecting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by two sons, Lee (Christina) Dodd of Benton, Missouri and Casey (Heather) Dodd of Jackson, Missouri; a daughter, Christy (Shawn) Griffin of South Haven, Mississippi; a sister, Lucita (David) McNeely of Scott City; ten grandchildren, Chad, Ashley, Haley, Ry, Alexis, Skyler, Zach, Hayden, Khloe and Kolton and two great grandchildren, Drake and Tatum.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday at the chapel with Revs. Robert Smithey and David McNeely officiating.

Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery in McClure, Illinois.
