Dwight Armour, son of Osie (Lee) Armour of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and the late Benjamin Armour Sr. was born on August 9, 1949 in Gary, Indiana and departed his life on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 75 years.
Mr. Armour was a former Histo Technician for Heartland Lab and a Veteran of the United States AirForce. He was affiliated with Gateway Church in Cape Girardeau and a resident of Cape.
In April of 1993 he was united in marriage to Sharon Miley. Mrs. Armour preceded him in death on July 27, 2022.
Along with his mother, survivors include two sons, Anthony Armour of Cape Girardeau and Edward (Whitney) Boaz of St. Louis, Missouri; three daughters, Antoinette (Terry) Pearson, Shar’De (Francis) Armour-Kumah, and Shayla (Victor) Kings all of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Dennis Armour of Hayti, Missouri; seven sisters, Beverly Gilyard, Kathy Bell, Patricia Amos, Ramelda Armour, Margie Smith, Sandra Smiles, and Martha Dunmore; thirteen grandchildren, Cantrell Pearson, Terry Pearson Jr., Candice Pearson, Malaysia Irby, Leah Hess, Edward Boaz Jr., Antasia Armour, Xavier Eves, Aryana Heisner, Alexis Armour, Micah Boaz, Stella Boaz, and King Boaz; also, by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Besides his wife and father, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Celebration of life service will be conducted on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 10:30 until 12:00 noon at the Federal Building, 339 Broadway Street, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapels assisting with arrangements.
