Dorothy Dannenmueller

Dorothy Dannenmueller, daughter of the late Marcus Schaefer and Clara (Compas) Schaefer was born on January 31, 1931 in Chaffee, Missouri and departed her life on Monday, December 9, 2024 at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee at the age of 93 years.

She was a homemaker, member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, and Catholic Council of Women in Scott City.

On May 5, 1951 she was united in marriage to Clifford Dannenmueller in Kelso, Missouri.  Mr. Dannenmueller preceded her in death on October 23, 2009.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna (Steve) Glueck of Scott City; three sons, Dan (Mary Sue) Dannenmueller of Tallassee, Alabama, Jack (Juanita) Dannenmueller and Steve (Jacqueline) Dannenmueller both of Scott City, Missouri; one brother, Alfred Schaefer of Grandview, Missouri; one sister, Rose Halter of Benton; fifteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren; also, by a brother-in-law, Lawrence Klipfel Jr. of Benton; sisters-in-law, Mary Schaefer of Leopold and Patricia Harrison of Cape Girardeau.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Schaefer and Sylvester Schaefer; by one sister, Shirley Klipfel.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM with a Prayer service at 4:00 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.  Funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City with Rev. Tom Wilk officiating.  Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
