Dora Slusher

Dora Ann Slusher, 88 of Benton, Missouri died May 25, 2021 at her home.  She was born January 28, 1933 in Malden, Missouri to Ray and Laura Maben McElrath.  She married Glen W. Slusher and he preceded her in death on January 22, 2009.

She was a homemaker, farmer, owner/operator with her husband Glen they started Slusher Inc. in Sikeston.  She was a member of Benton Ladies Auxiliary 369 and the Benton Red Hats.

She is survived by children, Cynthia (Larry) Farrenburg of Wichita, Kansas, Donna (Mike) Thompson and Glen A. (Ronda) Slusher of Benton, Missouri; a brother, Wayne McElrath of Goodyear, Arizona;   11 grandchildren, Chad (Jennifer) Farrenburg, DeAnn (Shane) Jones, Nikki (Brian) Armstrong, Elizabeth (Ryan) Nance, Sara (Jamie) Parks, Veronica (Charles) Conley, Benjamin (Jessie) Vinyard, Chevy (Lisa) Slusher and Cory (Lisa) Slusher, Christina White and Jamie (Heather) Thompson; 20 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Raymond, Marvin, Roy, Joy and Harold Dean McElrath and a sister, Viola Rigs.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am on Saturday until the time of service at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.

Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday at the chapel with Darin Watkins officiating.

Burial will be in Elders Cemetery in Malden, Missouri

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to charity of choice.
