Donald David Harris

Donald David Harris, son of the late Robert Harris and Ada Jane Welch Harris was born on November 22, 1939 in Oran, Missouri and departed this life on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 80 years.

Mr. Harris retired from Nestle Purina Kitty Litter Plant in Bloomfield, Missouri and a Veteran of the United States Navy.  He was a resident of New Madrid, Missouri formally of Oran, Missouri.

On May 25, 1960 he was united in marriage to Sharon Lynn Phillips in Oran.  Mrs. Harris preceded him in death on November 30, 2008.

Survivors include two sons, David (Joni) Harris Jr. of New Madrid, Missouri and Jason (Jessica) Harris of Ft. Mohave, Arizona; by one daughter, Teri (Bill) Bowman of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one brother, Joe Harris of Flint, Michigan; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Kyle Kluesner; two brothers, Bob and Jimmy Harris; three sisters, Mary Lee Sagady, Anna Mae Pobst, and Wilma Smith.

Visitation will be held 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.  Graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. in the Friend Cemetery at Oran.  Interment will follow.
