Dennis "Slim" Bowers

Dennis “Slim” Bowers, son of the late Junior Olin and Patsy (Ikerman) Bowers was born on July 5, 1961 in Advance, Missouri and departed his life on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at his residence in Delta, Missouri at the age of 62 years.

Mr. Bowers was a former employee with Rubber Maid manufacturing in Jackson, Missouri, of the Baptist Faith, and a lifelong resident of Delta.

Survivors include his long-time companion, Betty Darlene Gaddis of home in Delta, one brother, James (Jane) Bowers of Whitewater, Missouri; one sister, Rita (Ken) Aufdenberg of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one son, James (Cassandra) Gaddis of Columbia, Missouri; one daughter, Marilyn Garrett of Perkins, Missouri; four grandchildren, Josh and Harley Wicker; Aiden and Alexandera Gaddis; by two great-grandchildren Ashlynn and Joshua A. Wicker; also, by two nieces, Alaina Gaebler and Peyton McDaniel; five nephews, Grayson Glueck Jr., Clayton McDaniel, Blake Gaebler, Bryce Gaebler, and Brett Gaebler.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two nieces, Angela McDaniel and Christen Aufdenberg; a son-in-law, Tim Garrett.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 from 11:00 to 1:00 P.M. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.  Funeral services will then be conducted at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Phil Thompson officiating.  Interment will follow at a later date in the Fairview Cemetery near Advance, Missouri.
