Dennie Davis

Dennie Davis, son of the late Cletis Davis, Sr. and Sadie Velma Nance Davis was born on October 15, 1947 in Illmo, Missouri and departed this life on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at his residence in Benton, Missouri at the age of 72.

Mr. Davis was a Forty-Year member of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry Local 562 of the United States and Canada, avid fisherman and loved being outdoors.

Survives include his wife, Brenda Starr Davis of Sikeston; one son, Johnny Davis (Stacy) of Vienna, Illinois; Traci Bollinger of Benton; two sisters, Delores Kriz of St. Peters, Missouri and Patty Bickings of Benton, Missouri; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Danny Bollinger; three brothers, Cletis Davis, JR., Jerry Davis, and Jimmie Davis; by two sisters, Betty Davis and Brenda Niswonger.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 10:00 A.M. in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Interment will follow in the Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
