Delores Thompson

Delores Jean Thompson, 66, of Peru, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at home, surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be held 4-8:00 PM Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru. Additional visitation will be held 11:00 AM-1:00 PM Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, MO with a graveside service to follow at 1:00 PM at Lightner Cemetery, Scott City, MO.

Delores was born June 14, 1955 in Cape Girardeau, MO to Rudy and Ruie (Jackson) Thompson. She was a caregiver for her mother and brother for over ten years. She was a member of Crossbridge Church, Peru, loved to go shopping and was a true St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Survivors include her children, Amy Hartgrove of Peru, Dustin (Cleora) Thompson of Peru, Melanie Thompson of Peru, Brooke (Adrian Gann) Henry of Peru and Bradley Thompson; thirteen grandchildren, Karli, Kyle, Keegan, Kamdyn, Kezdyn, Emily, Nathan, Joey, Mason, Johnathan, Kayleb, Ruie and Rhianna; four great-grandchildren, Draya, Jessiah, Asher and one on the way, Anessa; four brothers, Frank Thompson, Glen Thompson, Tommy Thompson and Richard Thompson; a sister, Shirley Thompson and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Donald, Gene and Robert Thompson; one sister, Cynthia Thompson; two nephews, Bobby Thompson and Brian Thompson and a sister-in-law, Faye Thompson.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
