Dee Laster

Dee Ann Laster, 70 of Scott City, Missouri died Thursday, January 2, 2025 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  She was born May 27, 1954 in Cape Girardeau, MO to Cletus Frank and Opal “Dee” Kalkbrenner Messmer.  She married Conley Hayes Laster on December 13, 1975.

She was a member of St. Jospeh Catholic Church in Scott City, Missouri and was a 1972 graduate of Notre Dame.   She loved spending time with grandkids, going to Branson, thrift shopping and going to auctions.

She is survived by her husband Conley; two daughters, Beth (Branden) McCullough of Cape Girardeau and Amber (Robert) Gill of Commerce, Missouri; two grandchildren Colin and Owen; and a sister, Kay (David) Gilpin of Commerce, Missouri.

Visitation will be from 8:00 am – 9:00 am on Saturday, January 10, 2025 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City.

Memorial mass will be at 9:00 am at the church with Rev. Tom Wilk officiating.

Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude.
