Debra Ann Russell

Debra Buell-Russell, daughter of the late LeRoy and Scyvilla (Brucker) Buell was born on September 14, 1957 in Oran, Missouri and departed her life on Monday, October 28, 2024 at her residence in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 67 years.

She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for several in home service networks in the Southeast Missouri area.

On August 12, 2006 she was united in marriage to Christopher Russell in Dexter, Missouri.  He survives of the home in Cape Girardeau.

Besides her husband, survivors include three sons, Eric (Ruth) Backfisch of Scott City, David (Jennifer) Backfisch of Sikeston, and Andy (Jamie) Backfisch of Dexter; one step-son Daniel Russell of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth (Tyler), Alicia, William, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Allison, Mallory, and Drew; one brother, LeRoy “Topper” Buell of Oran; one sister, Linda Watkins of Oran; also, by other family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Catharine Harrell.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.  Celebration of life service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Oran with Rev. Larry Jackson as officiant.
