Dayton King, son of the late Floy King and Zona Hodge King was born on June 9, 1943 in Delta, Missouri and passed away on August 18, 2019 at his residence in Delta at the age of 76 years.
Mr. King was the owner and operator of Bobs Sinclair for many years in Scott City, Missouri, member of the First Baptist Church in Delta, and a lifelong resident in Delta.
He was united in marriage to Janet Sue Menz on November 7, 1964 in Delta. Mrs. King preceded him in death on June 5, 2018.
Survivors include one son, Rocky King (Tomma) of Delta; by one daughter, Holly Hampton (Lanney) of Delta; one brother, Charles King of Delta, by two sisters, Kathern Anthony of Oran and Donnie Yarbro of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; also, by four grandchildren Austin Hampton (Molly), Ty King, Aaron Hampton, and Allie Hampton.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Cody Dayton King; five brothers, Buford, Danny, Duree, J.D., and Louie King; also by two sisters, Imogene Hitchcock and Nadine Crowden.
Friends may call at the Amick-Burnett Funeral home in Chaffee from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 20, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with Rev. Randy Conn officiating. Interment will follow in the Kenyon Cemetery in Delta.
