David Moore

David Wayne Moore, son of the late Harold B. Moore Sr. and Dula Mai Ray Moore was born on May 26, 1942 in Hickman, Kentucky and departed this life on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at his brother’s residence in Scott City, Missouri at the age of 78 years after a short battle with cancer.

Mr. Moore retired from CNA Insurance Company, Veteran of the United States Army, affiliated with the Church of Christ and loved to travel all over the world.  He graduated from Fulton County High School.

David was raised by the late Hoyt Allen and Minnie Lawrence Barnett; he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Harold Moore Jr., Billy Moore, and John Moore; by one sister, Martha Ann Campbell.

Survivors include two brothers, Bobby (Mary Bell) Moore of Scott City and Larry (Lisa) Barnett of Katy, Texas; by several nieces and nephews; also, by two very special nieces, Krystal Moore and Kacey Lance whom took care of him during his illness.

Family would also like to give a special thank you to Saint Francis Hospice.

Services will be held at a later date conducted by the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
