David Lee Massey

David Massey, son to the late Charles and Cora Songer Massey was born on May 23, 1963 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on August 26, 2024 at his home in Chaffee, Missouri at the age of 61 years. He married Nita Salinas at the Naval base in the Philippines on July 22, 1985 and she survives of the home. David was a disable veteran of the United States Navy where he served as an aircraft mechanic. Besides his wife Nita, he is survived by three sons, David Massey, Jr. of Chaffee; James (Danielle) Massey of Jackson; Kenneth (Tina) Salinas of Chaffee; four brothers, John (Jan) Massey of Sikeston; Thomas Massey and Paul Massey both of Mexico, Missouri; Wesley Massey of Sikeston; a sister, Vonnie Massey Latham of Sikeston; two grandchildren, Kenneth C. Salinas and Hannah Salinas; two great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Athel Massey and brother-in-law, Donnie Johnson both of Sikeston. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brother, Carl Leslie Massey and Larry James Massey; a sister, Donna Massey Johnson. Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am, on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Old Bethel Baptist Church in Sikeston with Rev. Brent Horton officiating.
