David Anthony

David Earl Anthony, 74 of Oran, Missouri died Monday, September 16, 2019 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was the son of Earl and Mabel Martin Anthony born on March 8, 1945 in Oran. He was united in marriage to Kathern King on June 25, 1964 in Oran, Missouri

He was a welder/heavy equipment mechanic for multiple companies, retiring in 2002. His job made it possible for David and his family to travel across the country meeting many new people and making lifelong friends. He was a member of Operating Engineer Local 513 and a member of Oran Baptist Church.

David is survived by his wife, Kathern; two sons, Chris Anthony of Oran and Patrick Anthony of Kansas City, Missouri; a daughter, Leslie Anthony of Kansas City; a brother, James Anthony of Jackson, Missouri; a sister, Carolyn Jett of Jackson and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Friday at the chapel with Rev. Donny Ford officiating.

Burial will be in Friend Cemetery in Oran.
