Daniel Franklin Ross

Daniel Franklin Ross, son of the late David Tellman Ross and Zizie (Sanders) Ross was born on March 3, 1945 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed his life on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at his residence in Chaffee, Missouri at the age of 80 years.

Mr. Ross was a former employee of Scott County Highway Department. He was an avid outdoors man, enjoyed riding his four-wheeler, and attending area auctions.

On March 23, 2010 he was united in marriage to Hope Kennedy Huey-Ross in Scott City, Missouri. Mrs. Huey-Ross survivors of the home in Chaffee.

Along with his wife, survivors include three son, Charles Huey (Becky) of Arnold, Jeff Ross of Chaffee, and Danny Ross of Springfield; six daughters, Glenda Ross of Cape Girardeau, Missy Broyles of Chaffee, Ruby Abernathy of Illinois, Michelle Carter of Chaffee, Paulina Finn of Minnesota, and Karen James of Springfield; two sisters, Deloris Garner of Kentucky and Mona Ross of Kansas; fifteen grandchildren, sixteen-great-grandchildren; and his favorite fur pet, JU-JU. Daniel was the godfather, of Damien, Layten, and Michael.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Leslie Ann Ross by two brothers, James and Leslie Ross; one sister, Hester Ross.

Celebration of life will be conducted on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 4:00 PM with visitation held from 3:00 until 4:00 in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with Dcn. Charles Huey officiating. Interment will follow in the Ross Cemetery at Chaffee.
