Daniel Moore, Ii

Our most beloved Daniel Lee Moore II, 52, formerly of Kelso, Missouri, passed away and was called home to the heavenly Father Thursday, April 30, 2020, at his home in Nashville. Daniel was born Oct. 18, 1967, in Cape Girardeau to Daniel and Doris Schlosser Moore. He grew up a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.

Daniel attended St. Augustine Grade School in Kelso and graduated from Notre Dame Regional High School in 1986.

Daniel is best described as larger than life. He truly loved adventuring through life, meeting new people, being in the outdoors — especially the ocean — with hopes of one day sailing to Costa Rica. His free spirit led him to various places in the U.S. and beyond including Florida, California, Iowa, Alabama, South Carolina, Costa Rica and Kentucky. He had a zest for life whether he was cooking, hanging out at the beach, gardening, or enjoying music, just to name a few. Daniel taught all who knew him to smile and laugh no matter what. He always greeted everyone with a loving embrace. Daniel was truly unique which made him so special. Family was the utmost important piece of his world. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to so many.

His most loving survivors include his parents, Daniel and Doris Moore of Kelso; five siblings, Donald (Anita) Moore and Debra (T.J.) Halter of Cape Girardeau, Dawn Moore and Doug (Kathy) Moore of Scott City and David (Becky) Moore of Maryville, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Mark Ketcher of Cape Girardeau; nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, Abby (Mike) Eppenberger, Megan and Cole Moore, Brandon and Chelsea Carroll, Ambrea Moore, Carson, Bryson and Colson Ketcher, Alee and Will Moore, Katie Taylor, Trey, Trevor, Tyler, Trenton, Tucker and Daelyn Halter and Connor and Raelyn Moore; great-nieces and -nephews, Kayden Carroll, Cooper Eppenberger, Liam Taylor and Vera Marie Ketcher; and special friend whom he loved dearly, Cass Isom Hunter of Nashville.

Daniel was preceded in death by a sister, Danette Ketcher, and grandparents, Theon and Ella Schlosser and Curtis and Flora Marie Moore.
