Cody Robert Brown passed away on April 11 2020, at his home in Marquand, Missouri with family.
Mr. Brown was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on October 28, 1940 to Coda Raymond Brown and June Lane Brown.
On February 13, 1960 Mr.Brown was married to Geneva Sullinger. They celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Mr. Brown was a general contractor and active at The Church of God in Chaffee, Missouri as a deacon and faithful member for 48 years.
Besides his spouse Geneva and brother Michael Brown, he is survived by daughters Lisa Dooley (Mitch)of Jackson, Missouri, Jill Ortiz (Luis)of Marquand, Missouri and son Shannon Brown (Jenifer)of Moon Township, Pennsylvania. Eight grandchildren, Andrew Dooley, Daniel Dooley (Katilyn),
Cody Williams (Ashley), Dillon Williams, Opal Ortiz, Trenton,Kristian and Peyton Brown. Five great-grandchildren, Averie, Carter, and Lilly Dooley and Ezekiel and Jocelyn Dooley.
Mr.Brown was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, and three brothers.
Visitation will be at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Missouri on
Tuesday, April 14, 2020 for children and grandchildren only followed by a private burial at Fairview Cemetery in Advance, Missouri.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice, local food bank, or Southeast Hospice.
A celebration of life for Mr. Brown will be held for family, friends, and church family at a later date.
