Clyde “Slats” Sietman, son of the late Bernard Frank Sietman an Theresa LeGrand Sietman was born on October 8, 1927 in Oran, Missouri and departed this life on Monday, May 25, 2020 at his residence in Oran at the age of 92.
Slats attended Guardian Angel Elementary school and graduated from Oran High School in 1945. He was a Veteran of the United States Army stationed in Korea and former supervisor technician for Southern Clay Company in Oran. Slats held a special place in the lives of many people and was loved for his sweet smile and disposition. He loved his family, sweets, pecans, and fishing, especially for Grinnel and Bluegill.
On October 19, 1951 he was united in marriage to Zexia “Zeke” Bernard. Mrs. Sietman survivors of the home after 68 years of marriage.
Besides his wife, survivors include one son, Bernard Sietman (Heather Reynolds) of Pepin, Wisconsin; sister, Rita Pearl of Jonesboro, Illinois; and five nephews; also one special niece, Rozz Ridings (Johnathan).
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Sietman and by one sister Mary Jane Waters.
Interment will follow at a later date at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Chaffee conducting arrangements.
