Chryl Carter

Chryl Carter, daughter of the late Bevrly “Sonny” Linhart and Mary Elizabeth (Fowler) Linhart was born on September 28, 1956 in East Prairie, Missouri and departed her life at her residence in Scott City on Monday, December 16, 2024 at the age of 68 years.

Mrs. Carter was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Life Care Nursing Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri for several years before retirement.  She was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In 1987 she was united in marriage to David Carter in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  Mr. Carter survives of the home in Scott City.

Besides her husband, survivors include one son, Terry Woods of Scott City; by two daughters, Chryl (Tim) Sinn and Melissa Woods all of Scott City; four brothers, Charles, Alvin, Danny, and Ernie Linhart; by one sister, Kathy Hannah; three grandchildren, Jonathan (Shadowlyn) Sinn, Rebecca Sinn, and Noah (Olivia) Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Asher Johnson and Stryker Woods.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Mike Woods; three brothers, Jerry, Eddie, and Dean Linhart; four sisters, Edna Hendricks, Jerline Parker, Peggy Johnson, and Anita Henderson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December, 18, 2024 from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
