Christine Hodges

Christine Ruth Hodges, 90 of Oran, Missouri died Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Missouri.  She was born November 25, 1930 in Painton, Missouri to Herbert James and Bess Carmen Cobb Painton.  She married Carlton “Omer” Hodges on November 30, 1949.  He preceded her in death on September 17, 2019.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, UMW, Girl Scout Leader for eleven years and U.T.U. Trainmen’s Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Weston of Farmington and Pamela Adkins of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri; a brother, Albert Painton of Painton, Missouri; a sister, Mary Wall of St. Ann, Missouri; four grandchildren, Christopher Roberts, Hillary Lynch, Erica O’Connor, and Adam Blattel and six great grandchildren, Chloe and Aidan Lynch, McKenna and Brady O’Connor and Evan and Alayna Blattel.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Marcus Carlton Hodges; a brother, Don Painton and a sister Linda Wilkerson.

Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 am on Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 am at Friday at the chapel with Rev. Tammy Hargis officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery in Morley, Missouri.
