Christina Dawn Burton, 59 of Dexter, Missouri gained her angel wings on Wednesday, June 23 at Poplar Buff Regional Medical Center She was born November 11, 1961 in Illinois to John L. an Frona Clymer Burton. She married Steve Mattingly on June 15, 2013 in Dexter, Missouri.
Christina worked at many different jobs over the years.
Her joy was her grandchildren. She enjoyed many hobbies such as crocheting, taking photos, coloring and collecting Indians, Wolves and Furbies.
She is survived by two sons, Justin (Meredith) Head of Texas and Joshua (Laura) Burton of Cape Girardeau; a stepson, Jimmy Mattingly of Dexter; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Mattingly of Dexter; honorary daughter, Tia (Dennis) Gore of East Prairie; honorary sister, Cathy Stults of Missouri and her grandchildren, Alyssa Ayla Rose Craft, Phoenix Dean Craft, Elrik Shane Craft, Thomas Burton, Jaxon Gibbs, Valerie Michelle Miller, Braden Ray Gore, Zachary Ethan Miller and Makayla Lynn Gore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Shane; a daughter, Tabitha and many other family members.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 pm on Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.
Memorial service will be at 4:00 pm on Saturday at the chapel with Rev. Jack Owens officiating.
