Chris Metcalf Sr. 49, of Marble Hill, formally of Las Vegas, passed away on July 11, 2020 after a long battle with NHL.
He was born July 23, 1970 in Chaffee, to Linda (Hunsaker) and Jim Metcalf.
Chris married the love of his life and best friend Diane in Dec 1990.
He was a proud union heavy equipment operator, local 12 of Las Vegas who was well respected and known for his incredible work ethic that he passed onto his children.
He had many interests in his life, but the one thing he was most proud of was the love and dedication to his family and his beautiful granddaughters. Chris lived life on his terms, he was passionate about spreading his knowledge of guns and gun safety. He worked hard and played even harder. Chris had nicknames for all of his children, grandchildren and at times even their friends. He always had sayings that were at times insightful for the instant or could bring a chuckle to a moment of seriousness.
He leaves behind a wife: Diane (Watkins); a son: Christopher Jr. (Brittany); a daughter, Shannon (Ernie Kon); parents Jim and Linda; 3 granddaughters: Grace, Zoey and Bristol; a brother, Mark: In-laws Don and Linda Watkins; sister-in law Crystal (Jeff) Parks; Brother in law Don Watkins JR., Darin (Kim) Watkins, JR (Leslie) Watkins, and 17 nieces and nephews, many of which he had a special bond with.
Proceeded in death by William K Wallace, the best rat terrier ever.
We are all broken knowing that he is gone, but we are at peace knowing he is in a better place.
A celebration of life will be held July 25, 2020 at the KC hall in Oran MO.
