Charlotte Williamson

Charlotte Williamson, daughter of the late Homer Stamp Sr. and Theda (Lambert) Stamp was born on October 5, 1941 in Ilmo, Missouri and departed her life on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 83 years.

She was a former switchboard operator for Southwestern Bell, factory assembly line worker, and last job was quality inspector at Columbia Sportswear. Mrs. Williamson was a graduate of Ilmo/Fornfelt Highschool in 1959 and affiliated with the Advance Assembly of God Church.

On January 9, 1960 she was united in marriage to Bobby Gean Williamson. Mr. Williamson preceded her in death on January 30, 2016.

In the late 60’s, she and her husband and son moved to Southern California and lived there for several years. She enjoyed many things in California including the discovery of Mexican food, sightseeing the many wonders of the state, and she also loved camping and riding dirt bikes with family and friends.

Later in life after retirement, she enjoyed travelling full time in a RV with her husband across the nation for about 7 years. She lost her husband in 2016 due to injuries sustained in a car accident. She struggled with health issues in the last years of her life.

Survivors include one son, Ricky Williamson of Jackson, Missouri; three brothers, Homer Stamp Jr., of Jackson, Missouri, Mark Stamp of Mountain View, Arkansas, and David Stamp of Kelso; two sisters, June Drum of Millersville, Missouri and Ruth Moore of Scott City; also, by many nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Lynn Stamp.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City. Funeral services will then be conducted at 11:00 AM with Rev. Randy Morse officiating. 

Charlotte was a loving mother with a heart of gold and will be sorely missed!!!
