Charles Sallee Jr., son of the late Charles Sallee Sr. and Claude Anne Phillips was born on January 26, 1967 in Chicago, Illinois and departed his life on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Mercy Heart Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 57.
He was a former welder with Magnitude 7 Metals for several years. He enjoyed cooking, loving on his dogs, spending time with family and friends, and his 5.0 Mustang GT. Charles was a member of the Oran Methodist Church and a resident of Oran.
On September 1, 1990 he was united in marriage to Darla Perry in Gordonville, Missouri. Mrs. Sallee survives of the home in Oran.
Besides his wife, survivors include one son, Devan Charles (Brooke) Sallee of Scott City; one daughter, Brittany (Bradyn) Swinford of Chaffee; two sisters, Crystal (Brian) Todt of Oran and Janet Sallee-Warren of Scott City; six grandchildren, Charleigh Sallee, Easton Sallee, Hazel Swinford, Harper Swinford, Lane Rister, and McKenna Worley; one step-brother, Mark Mason of Oran; two step-sisters, Lisa May of Morley and Sharon Hawkins of St. Louis; mother-in-law, Wanda Perry of Chaffee; nieces and nephews, Lacie McAlister, Courtney McGuire, Ashton Duncan, Tatum May, Emmalee Bryant, Zack Bryant, Shawn Bigham, Abby Bigham, and Ashley Alley; also, by other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, James Richard Perry; two nephews, Austin Todt and Dylan Pobst; and one niece, Amanda Bigham.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 10:00 until 1:00 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Funeral service will then be conducted at 1:00 PM in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel.
