Celester Lewis Holley, 70 of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 13, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri to Louis Charles and Edna Earl Smith Holley. He married Anni Maria Jusiewicz on October 24, 1980 and she preceded him in death on February 14, 2015. He worked for Defender at Proctor & Gamble. He was a 20-year veteran for the U.S. Army. He is survived by a son, Thomas (Andrea) Holley of Cape Girardeau; Three daughters, Diana (Okwuchukwu) Oboh and Celeste (Will) Jackson of Cape Girardeau and Monika (Guenter) Ritter-Mueller of Germany; four brothers, Charles, Roy, Eddie and George Holley; three sisters, Wilma Jennings, Levera Hines and Linda Singleton; eleven grandchildren, Michael, Jasmine, Eli, Sandra, Caitlin, Isabella, Natalie, Ava, Alivia, Sylar, Adaeze and one great grandson, Naveen. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Shawn Phillips; three brothers and a sister. Visitation will be from 10:00 am – Noon on Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be at Noon on Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors.
