Christine Bollinger

Christine Bollinger, 89 of Blodgett, Missouri died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at her home. She was born June 17, 1929 in Osceola, Arkansas to Louis Franklin and Estie Lee Simpson Stowers. She married Roy L. Bollinger on January 13, 1948. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2008.
She worked for and volunteered at the Kenny Rogers Cerebral Palsy Center in Sikeston for over ten years. She was a member of New Savannah Baptist Church in Blodgett and a longtime member of Blodgett Women’s Club.
She is survived by six children, Janet Dirnberger of Blodgett, Peggy (Larry) Francis of Nashville, Tennessee, Sandy (Larry) UImer of Troy, Tennessee, Kenneth (Cindy) Bollinger of Benton, Missouri, David Bollinger of Blodgett and Michael (Vickie) Bollinger of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; three brothers, Al (Sheen) Stowers, Jim (Judy) Stowers and Gary Stowers all of Janesville, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Rosalie Bollinger of Benton; a brother-in-law, Clyde( Margaret) Bollinger of Festus, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Louis Stowers and two sisters, Jane Minner and Gladys Bechel.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service on Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Benton.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday at the chapel with Revs. Kenneth Bollinger and Dennis Lowe officiating.
Burial will be in Blodgett Cemetery in Blodgett.
