Brenda Limbaugh, daughter of the late Jerome J. Blocker and Dimple (Hayden) Blocker was born on May 17, 1940 in Oran, Missouri and departed her life on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 82 years.
She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in Home Economics in 1962, was a former Home Economics Teacher at Bell City Public Schools for one year in 1962, 63 and taught in Oran Public School starting in 1983 until her retirement in 2005.
She was member of the Oran First Baptist Church where she played the piano for several years. She had been active in the Oran Public School Alumni Association. On July 28, 1963 she was united in marriage to John R. (Bob) Limbaugh in Oran, Missouri. Mr. Limbaugh survives of the home in Oran. Mrs. Limbaugh enjoyed traveling with her husband who was a Naval Officer in the US Navy for 23 years.
Besides her husband, survivors include one son, Dan Limbaugh of Magnolia, Texas; one daughter, Cindy (Larry) Chasteen of Oran; four grandchildren, Alex Chasteen, Zac (Emily) Chasteen, Ethan Limbaugh, and John Limbaugh; by one great-grandchild, Beckham Chasteen; one brother, Tom Blocker of Oran; also, by other relatives and friends.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday at the Oran Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Ford and Rev. Leslie Limbaugh officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oran Alumni Association Scholarship fund would be appreciated.
