Betty Louise Lunsford

Betty Louise Lunsford, daughter of the late Vernon Carl Barton, and Goldie (Nee) Barton was born June 22, 1932 in Doe Run, Missouri and departed this life on Sunday, December 05, 2021 at Saint Francis hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 89 years.

Mrs. Lunsford loved her church and church family at Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, especially since Pastor McCullough “told it how it was”. She loved to garden, cook, spend time with her grandchildren, telling stories. She had a keen ability to remember everything.

She married Dillard Lunsford in Farmington, Missouri. He preceded her death on September 24, 1999.

She is survived by one son: Carl (Cheryl) Graham of Bremen, Ohio; one daughter: Tracy Mattingly of Sikeston, Missouri; one brother: Robert (Norine) Barton of Longmont, Colorado; one sister: Carol (Phil) Campbell of Longmont, Colorado; eight grandchildren: Carla Graham, James Graham, Chelsie (Taylor) Hardy, Clorissa Graham, Chance Graham, Dennis (Rachel) Peridore, Kenneth (Amanda Smith) Liggons, Bethany (Tremaine Roberts) Liggons; eleven great-grandchildren: Aaron Stricker, Jayme Barks, Caleb Barks, Austin Graham, Bryanna Wilkins, Julie Price, Mariah( Liam Roberts) Price, Anakin Peridore, Tucker Peridore, Madison Liggons, Zachary Liggons,; and two great-great-grandchildren: Quinn Hardy, Corbin Weekly and one special friend: Connie Day.

Apart from her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Sandra Winberry; one sister: Aletha Lunsford; one brother: Vernon Barton.

There will be a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm on January 16, 2022 at the Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, Missouri with Pastor. Joe McCullough officiating.
