Ben Michael Hastings

Ben Hastings, son of Roger Hastings of Mayfield, Kentucky and Caroline Byerley of Chaffee, Missouri was born on December 6, 2001 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed his life on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the young age of 21 years.

He was currently employed as a Security Guard at Century Casino in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Ben graduated from Graves County High School in Mayfield, Kentucky and attended Genesis’s Church in Mayfield.  He enjoyed video games, spending time with family and friends, and a current resident of Chaffee.

Besides his father, Roger (Crystal) Hastings of Mayfield and mother, Caroline (Ricky) Byerley of Chaffee survivors include his fiancé, Kim Hibbs of Chaffee; parental grandfather, Everett Hastings; six brothers, David Snedeker, Michael Paul Hastings, Seth Hayes, Zane Hayes, Bryton Hayes, and Eli Hayes; seven sisters, Katie Dobbs, Myra Snedeker, Chrissy Ashby, Katelyn Perkins, Abby Hayes, Mylee Hayes, and Jericha Hayes; also, by two dogs, Jose and Lily; and one cat, Callie.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 10:30 until 11:30 am in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.  Funeral services will then be conducted at 11:30 am with Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating.  Interment will follow in the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee, MO.
