Barbara Jean Bollinger

Barbara Bollinger, daughter of the late J.C. Joyce and Juanita (Blue) Joyce was born on September 18, 1943 in Oran, Missouri and departed her life on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at her residence in Oran, Missouri while surrounded by her family.

On March 2, 1962 she was united in marriage to Buster Bollinger in Oran. She was married for 61 years to Buster as of March 2, 2023.

Barbara was an active member of the Oran First Baptist Church where she served the Lord through many different ministries. She was also a past member of the Morley Eastern Star.

Besides her loving husband Buster of Oran, survivors include one son, Troy (LaDonna) Bollinger of Bonne Terre, Missouri; one daughter, Judi (Jim) Henson of Oran; four grandchildren, Mandi (Luke) O’Neal of Farmington, Missouri, Jacob (Scarlett) Bollinger of Caledonia, Missouri, Blake (Cassidy Sawyer) Henson of Laflin, Missouri and Megan Henson of Oran, as well as three great-grandchildren, Grayson and Maggie O’Neal and Brightyn Bollinger;  and by one sister, Janet (John) Glen of Charlottesville, Virginia.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Theresa DeeAnn Bollinger.

Barbara had a deep passionate love for children and a desire to nurture every child that she came in contact with.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be sent to Shriners Children’s Hospital or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Oran.  Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ed Carter and Rev. Donnie Ford officiating.  Interment will follow in the Friends Cemetery in Oran.
