Alma Frey, 101 of Scott City died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born June 3, 1917 in Crooked Creek, Missouri to Clarence Arick and Ozark Jane Yount Miller. She married Stanford Theodore Frey on June 3, 1938 in Sikeston, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2009.
She was a head cook at Notre Dame High School for 13 years and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City.
She is survived by three sons, Charlie Frey and Michael (Susan) Frey of Scott City and David Frey of Bedford, Texas; a daughter, Carolyn (Robert Dean) Matthews of Heber Springs, Arkansas; a daughter-in-law, Ann Frey of Cape Girardeau; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son Larry Frey.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayer service at 7:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City with Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Morley, MO.
In lieu of flowers family request donations can be made to the St. Joseph Catholic School.
