Dixie Jewell Yount

Dixie Jewell Brock Yount, 86, of Chaffee passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born April 7, 1926, at Parma, Mo., to Walter and Florence Walker Brock. She married Vyron Yount on Sept. 3, 1943. He preceded her in death April 23, 2012. Dixie was a member of Arbor General Baptist Church in Arbor, Mo. Survivors include two daughters, Glynnis (Keith) Kunzler of Arnold, Mo., Lynnette Parker of Florissant, Mo.; four grandchildren, Kristin (Jerry) Mugg of Denver, Jeffry Parker of Florissant, Kecia (James) Howell of Greenway, Ark., Shay Dahl of Dallas; and a sister, Hazel Williams Canny of Houston. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Luther, Stanley and Kenneth Brock. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Kermit Patton officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
