James John Mirgeaux

James John Mirgeaux, 87 of Scott City died June 26, 2012 at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, MO. He was born February 24, 1925 in Fornfelt, MO to the late Joseph and Alice Rozmerski Mirgeaux. He married Valeria G. Ressel on Oct 18, 1949 in Kelso, MO and she survives. James was a veteran of the United States Army and served in WWII. He was also a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, MO and V.F.W. Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau. He was a self-employed bricklayer. He is survived by two sons, Jimmy (Terry) Mirgeaux of Scott City, MO, David (Beverly) Mirgeaux of Scott City, MO; one daughter, Rene Phillips of Scott City, MO and three grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso. Parish Prayers will be at 7PM at the church. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday at the church with Rev. Oliver Clavin as celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors.
