Helen Bernice Evans

Chaffee, MO> Helen Bernice Evans, 93, of Chaffee, MO, passed away at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO on Sunday July 8, 2012. She was born in Chaffee, MO on September 3, 1918, to the late Philip L. and Mary Welter Halter. She married Paul L. Evans Sr. on December 5, 1936 and he preceded her in death on December 14, 1969. Helen was a member of the Christian Mission Church in Benton, MO. Survivors include one son, Paul L. Evans Jr. of Delta, Mo; two daughters, Rosemary Kinder of Cape Girardeau, MO and Henrietta Lands of Chaffee, MO; fourteen grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren and five great -great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, five brothers and two sisters. Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5PM today. The funeral service will be on Wednesday July 11, 2012 at 10AM at the chapel with Rev. William Marshall officiating.
