Linda Jane Sadler

Linda Jane Sadler, 60, of Wappapello, formerly of Chaffee, Mo., died Friday, July 20, 2012, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Linda was born in Chaffee on Nov. 27, 1951, to the late Edward "Cotton" Sadler and Maureen Barlow Sadler, who survives. Linda was a peer counselor at Family Counseling Center in Poplar Bluff. Survivors include her mother, Maureen Sadler of Chaffee; the love of her life, Jim Bevel of Wappapello; two sons, Tony Matthews of Little Elm, Texas, and Bobby Matthews of Bad Breisig, Germany; a daughter, Stephanie Hatley of Hayti, Mo.; three brothers, Danny, Herman and Eddie Sadler, all of Chaffee; two sisters, Jo Ann Hunter of East Cape Girardeau, Ill., and Cathy Miskell of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her cocker spaniel companion, River. She was preceded in death by one stepson, Mark Johnson. Visitation will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Wes Tayloe officiating. Burial will be at New Tucker Cemetery in Campbell, Mo.
