Mary Frances Rister

Mary Frances Rister, 81, of Chaffee passed away Monday, July 23, 2012, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 31, 1930, in Chaffee, to the late Adam and Stella Eldridge Schoen. She and Gail Rister were married Nov. 4, 1949. He preceded her in death Jan. 20, 2011. Mary was a retired supervisor at Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee, and was a librarian at Chaffee Public Library. She was a member of Chaffee General Baptist Church, and former member of Chaffee Eastern Star Chapter 48. Survivors include a son, Steven Rister of Chaffee; two grandchildren, Adam and Amber Rister of Chaffee. She was also preceded in death by a son. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
