Martha Louise Doss

Martha Louise Doss, 58, of Bonne Terre, formerly of Scott City, died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born January 24, 1954 in Cape Girardeau, daughter of F.M. and Ruby Roth Scherer. She and Stephen Doss were married Dec. 27, 1992. Martha worked as a secretary for the Gibson Center, Ratliff Tax Service and Statler Law Firm. She was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband, Stephen Doss of Bonne Terre; and her mother, Ruby Scherer of Scott City. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Marty Hasz officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City. Memorials may be made to Muscular Dystrophy or Eisleben Lutheran Church.
