Chaffee - Margaret Mary Miller, 83, died September 8, 2012, at James River Care Center in Springfield, MO. Born August 4, 1929, at Pocahontas, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late William Joseph and Eva Catherine Baltz Ludwig. In 1946 she graduated from St. Mary's High School, Cape Girardeau, MO (Notre Dame High School). She attended college in Illinois. She married Leon William "Raney" Miller on April 23, 1949. Margaret taught third grade at St. Ambrose Catholic School and was a cosmetologist at Nickens Pharmacy. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, a member of the Daughter's of St. Ambrose and a member of P.E.O. Chapter CX in Chaffee, MO, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and American Legion. She enjoyed golfing with her husband and friends at Kimbeland Country Club and was a member of several bridge groups. Her volunteer work included local elections, local boards and her church. She was a resident of Chaffee for over 60 years and moved to Springfield, MO in 2009. She is survived by her children: one son, Leon W. "Buddy" Miller Jr. (Jean), of Cape Girardeau, MO; four daughters, Jane Paul (A.G. "Butch") of Springfield, MO; Mary Stadtmueller (Charles "Chuck") of Spokane, WA; Eva Keagle (Rick) of Harker Heights, TX; Sue Ann Kern of Park City, UT; one brother, Dr. Frank Ludwig (Kris) of Maumelle, AR; one sister, Ann Braden (Jim) of Danville, CA; 11 grandchildren, 4 grandchildren in-laws and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Leon W. Miller and a brother Rev. W.D. Ludwig. Friends may call after 6 pm Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. PEO service will be at 6:30PM followed by Parish Prayers at 7PM at the chapel. A funeral Mass will be celebrated as 10 am Saturday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with the Rev. Randolph Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic School, c/o Jane Paul, 4863 S.
