Walter Dean Peetz, 73, of Scott City, Mo. Died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born August 4, 1939 in Scott County, Missouri to the late Otto and Augusta "Lady" Walter Peetz. Walter and Wanda Jones were married August 4, 1966 and she preceded him in death on April 29, 2009. Walter was a truck driver for A.B.F. Trucking. He was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City, F.O.E. #3775 in Cape Girardeau, and served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Deana and Todd Corbin and grandson Ethan of Petersburg, Il., and a large extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a sister Gale Dale. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Wednesday, December 5, 2012, visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City. Funeral service will be at 10 am at the church with the Rev. Marty Hasz officiating. Burial will be at the Eisleben Lutheran Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers family requests donation to the Alzheimer's Association .
