Thelma Eloise Roth, 90, of Cape Girardeau, MO gained her angel wings Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Universal City, TX, with her beloved sister, a great-niece and her family. She was born March 11, 1922 in Arkansas, to the late Clarence Lee and Mary Lou Evans Graviett. She and Vincent Roth were married February 26, 1944 at Grace Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau and he preceded her in death on January 24, 1986. "Weezie", as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, worked for 33 years at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She also worked at Schnucks passing out samples to their customers. She volunteered for American Cancer Society, AARP, FISH, and the Red Cross for many years. She also enjoyed being a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was baptized on April 5, 1934 at Oran Baptist Church and was a member of Lynnwood Baptist Church. Survivors include one sister, Lucille Stigall of Universal City, TX; a great-niece, Betty (Ruben) Cervantes, of Universal City, TX with whom she was going to make her home; a great-nephew, James "Buddy" (Loretta) Guiling of Lindsay, TX; two sister-in-laws, Imogene Graviett and Marietta Graviett both of Oran, Mo; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Oran will be in charge of arrangements. Interment will be at a later date at Friend Cemetery in Oran.
