Wanda Lee Burton

Wanda Lee Burton, age 78, of Chaffee, MO passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo. She was born in Frostburg, MD on August 19, 1934 to the late Carl and Hazel Lashbaugh Folk. Wanda married Junior Lee Burton on July 16, 1953 and he preceded her in death on May 16, 1992. She worked at the Hat Factory in Oran, Mo before retiring as a machine operator at Columbia Sportswear in Chaffee, MO. Survivors include three sons, Joey, Junior Lee and Chris(Sherri) Burton all of Chaffee, MO; two daughters, Shelby Jean (Ricky Rogers) Sullivan of Matthews, Mo, Susan (David) Slinkard of Cape Girardeau, Mo; two brothers, Jack and William Folk both of Frostburg, MD; one sister, Carol Bauman of Frostburg, MD; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a granddaughter. Friends may call after 11AM until time of service on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral Service will be held at 1PM at the chapel with Rev. Glenn A. Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Matthews City Cemetery in Matthews, Mo. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
