Ervin Felton, 82 of Marion, IL died January 20, 2013 at Parkway Manor of Marion, IL. He was born September 5, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Walter Ervin and Agnes LeClair Felton. He married Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Holder on February 4, 1956. She preceded him in death on March 21, 1976. Ervin was a machinist for Alcatel-Lucent Telephone Company. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and Cuba Crisis. He is survived by a son, David (Kim) Felton of Pittsburg, IL; a daughter, Carolyn Swartos of Marion, IL; brother-in-law, Everett (Mary Lee) Holder of Scott City; a brother, Gordon Felton of Plainsfield, IL; two sisters, Gloria Meier of Dallas, TX and Sylvia Smith of Plainsfield, IL; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10:00 Am until time of service Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral Service will at Noon on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the chapel with Rev. Stan Serati officiating. Burial will be at Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City with full military honors.
