Louis A. Heisserer

Louis Anthony "Butch" Heisserer, 85, of Scott City, Mo. Passed away Friday March 1, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born February 26, 1928 at Fornfelt, Mo., the son of Louis William and Carolina Mary Heuring Heisserer. He and Alene Viola Raines were married on October 6, 1951 at Scott City. Butch was a lifelong Farmer and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church at Kelso, Knights of Columbus Council 6420 and its' 4th Degree Assembly 2283. He was a former member of the Scott City Kiwanis Club. Survivors include his wife; a daughter Connie (Glenn) Payne of Clarksville, Tenn.; six sons, Ralph (Beth) Heisserer and Tom (Lynda) Heisserer of Kelso, Chris (Tina) Heisserer of Advance, Dennis (Dona) Heisserer of Chaffee, Greg (Melinda) Heisserer of Scott City and Doug (Mary Ann) Heisserer of Missoula, Mont.; a sister Lillian (Doris) Smith of Scott City; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Heisserer and an infant sister. Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8:00 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. A parish prayer and Knights of Columbus service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Rev. Oliver Clavin, Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Church. Burial will full military honors will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
