Roy Lee Knight

Roy Lee Knight, 92 of Commerce, MO died April3, 2013 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born February 15, 1921 in Commerce, MO to Roy Price and Rosezenna O'Guinn Knight. He married Isabelle Edmonds on October 18, 1941 in Benton, MO. She preceded him in death on January 4, 2008. Roy was a Towboat Captain for Huffman towing. He was a member of Commerce Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge in Cape Girardeau. He is survived by four sons, Earl Knight of Commerce, Thomas Knight of St. Mary, MO, Bobby Knight of Benton, Jerry Knight of Commerce; two daughters, Delores Lee and Peggy Kight both of Commerce; 25 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a son, three brothers, four sisters and two great grandchildren. Visitation will from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Thursday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday at the chapel with Revs. David Thompson and Dan Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce, MO.
