Guy E Borneman

Guy E. Borneman, age 55, of Delta, MO passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born on October 20, 1957 in Cape Girardeau, MO to William Monroe and Novella Slinkard Borneman Sr. He married Regina Overbeck on January 24, 1981 and she survives. Guy was a Third Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy for 4 years having served in the Persian Gulf where he was a boiler tech. He worked at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau as a boiler operator since 1980. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau, MO; Chaffee V.F.W. Post #3127 lifetime member and volunteer board member of the SEMO District Fair. Survivors include his mother, Novella Howell of Chaffee, MO; his wife, Regina of the home; one son, Justin (Natalee) Borneman of Delta, MO; two daughters, DeeAnna Sikes and Stacy(special friend Myles Harper) Borneman both of Delta, MO; four grandchildren, Tyler and Trenton Sikes both of Cape Girardeau, MO, Wesley and Andrea Borneman both of Delta, MO; one sister Karen (Bill) O'Connor of St. Charles, MO; father and mother in law, Weldon and Lois Overbeck of Chaffee, MO. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, William "Bill" Borneman Jr. Friends may call after 4PM Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Mo. Chaffee V.F.W. Post #3127 will have a service at 7PM at the chapel. The funeral service will be held at 3PM, Sunday at the chapel with Rev. Tom Sullenger officiating assisted by Rev. Dan Chaney. Burial will follow at McGuire Cemetery in Burfordville with full military honors presented by the Missouri Honor Guard. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Regina Borneman for funeral expenses.
