Patricia A. Probst

Patricia A. Probst, 70, passed away Friday, July 12th in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was an unstoppable force, full of love, life and laughter. Pat never met a stranger and always saw the good in people. She cared for everyone she met, running Jackson Residential Care for 40 years to care for the elderly and mentally disabled. She was a loving wife and she and her husband, Harold Probst, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary just last year. But her proudest accomplishment was her role as doting mother to Kevin and Brian, and subsequently her cherished role as MeMaw to her grandchildren Dominic, 10, and Addi, 6. We are all better people for knowing her and she is forever in our hearts and minds and will remind us always to love deeper, fight harder, be more kind and never take ourselves too seriously. Per her wishes, a private funeral was held and she was laid to rest next to her son, Brian Probst, at New Lorimier Cemetery in Cape GIrardeau, MO. We ask in Lieu of flowers donations be made in her name to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri, 2536 Boutin Dr., Cape Girardeau, MO 63701, phone: 573-334-5837.
